The Israeli Cotton Board (ICB) represents and markets Israel’s cotton growers, with a strong commitment to sustainable cultivation and high production standards. Its key activities include regulating BC-certified cotton, ensuring it is GMO-free, roller-ginned, and 100% machine-harvested. The board promotes drip irrigation using recycled water, the implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to reduce chemical inputs, and the adoption of crop rotation and advanced soil and water optimization methods. These efforts are designed to maximize quality, efficiency, and sustainability within the Israeli cotton sector.

Jonathan brings over 35 years of experience in practical agriculture and the global agricultural industry, specializing in managing, planning, and executing large-scale agricultural initiatives across companies, organizations, and the public sector. In his role at the Cotton Board, he initiated the board’s engagement with Better Cotton nearly a decade ago and has since been instrumental in strengthening collaboration, advancing sustainable practices, and elevating the global standing of Israeli cotton growers.
